I love it when people approach asking me a question that way- I usually tell them that either it’s personal or isn’t, they won’t offend by simply asking (usually true, not always), and that if I don’t feel like sharing, I just won’t. :)

I think my line changes depending on who’s asking and why they’re asking. But for the most part I’m pretty easygoing about answering. If I don’t wanna answer, I’ll weasel my way out of it. :)

It depends on the audience, I suppose.

I was going to say that for my close friends, there’s nothing too personal. That’s not entirely true, however. The vast majority of my friends have no idea I’m exploring BDSM at the level I am (more than just occasional fuzzy cuffs in the bedroom level, that means), and they certainly don’t know I’m blogging about it. I suppose in a way that means that part of my life is a little too personal to discuss with them…on the other hand, my friends in the BDSM scene don’t know a great deal about my ‘vanilla’ friends; I’m not sure if it’s a ‘too personal’ thing or an attempt to keep the two worlds separate for whatever reason. I’m going to have to think about this…

As for my new lifestyle blogger persona, talking about my activities, my fears, my hopes: none of that’s too personal. Anything more mundane? At this point in my journey, that _is_ too personal. As I get more comfortable in the ‘blogosphere’, I’m sure that will change…but for right now, there are some things that are off-limits. ;) Odd priorities, I suppose, but I’m guess I’m just wired that way.

I honestly can’t imagine any lines. I think I’ve sort of set up my life so that I don’t have or want to hide anything from anyone. Mostly it would probably work the other way where I will give people too much information. Like let’s say talking Ellie’s ear of with ex dramas or tweeting a billion times a day about how groovy my life is right now.

I might be dubious to give my weight outright. It’s a work in progress anyhow. Other than that I think I long to be grilled with questions because I am an egomaniac. I can be poetic and what have you on my blog, but if asked I will happily spout numbers and stats. I am a boy, I like locker room talk and I like to brag.

I’m not sure, actually. I’m not so sure anything’s off-limits, but I know I’ll balk at some questions.

Like, really specific things about sex and about my organs in particular. I don’t like divulging too much about my encounters, I don’t want to list off my partners… stuff like that.

But, yeah, it’s funny, I think your point is that most of the questions people ask in the blogosphere tend to be the opposite of personal in the normal scheme of things, but they’re just trying to get to know us better as people.

I suspect I’m just guilty of being too open about my life as a whole, so I don’t get a lot of the “Maybe this is personal, but…” question line. I dunno. :)
