I think the roles of black men and black women are so different in both the colonial setting you spoke of and the modern porn industry setting I found the juxtaposition a little off putting a times. It might have been more practical to separate the study of each gender more in your piece or even concentrate more wholly on one gender. Specifically I found that while you started both discussions speaking about the black male's role you never fully explained them in the same power/dominance context that you explained the woman's role. For example you quoted the modern porn roles of the black man and his enormous manhood but never really explored why that symbol exists or the socio/psycho/power dynamic of that construction.
