   Hey cutie-pie,

   I know exactly what you mean… my blog and podcast have been taking a lot out of me. I work a full time job (and right now it’s SO busy because it’s a Council meeting session) and it’s tough to get the energy to keep going. I stayed up until 1:45am last night filming Kitkast and I’m bushed today… but I can’t rest tonight or tomorrow night because I have to spend that time editing.

   I hope that someday I can get a job that gives me more time to work on Kitkast and my blog, perhaps get a job as a writer, become a freelance writer or host a show on cable tv. Until then, it’s a tough road… living a double life and working like a mule.

   I sincerely hope that you will start to feel better without the weight of the sex blog and podcast world on your shoulders. Rest well, eat well and exercise well… hopefully you’ll be feeling better in no time.

   We all feel depressed sometimes… hell, sometimes my boyfriend and I get so stressed that it’s hard to film the show because we’re both in such crappy moods! I find that talking about his penis tends to make us both smile though.

   Anyways, I think another reason you might feel down is because you are such a smart woman… If you feel the way I do, I often feel as if I can do better but the world is neglecting to notice. I’m not talking about my sex blog or video-podcast, though, but my personal life. I’ve been in the same job for over three years and there’s no room for advancement… I feel like I was destined for something more… and with your intelligence, perhaps you feel like you’re not being used to your full potential.

   I like to say that Bush is my greatest inspiration… the reason I say this is because if a guy like that could be president, the possibilities for you and I are endless.

   Whatever it is causing your depression, I have no doubt you’ll bounce back.

   Seems like the right time of year to take a blogging break. The unscheduled one I had seemed to help (at least as far as not ignoring classes went). It sounds like you’ve recognized the problem and you’ve got the right idea, focusing on your life and doing what you need to do. Depression is beatable- I know you can do it, especially since you’re facing it and not denying it- and always remember you are valued not just for what you do but for who you are.

   When I had it in high school it helped me to take small steps to get back on track, so I could keep them up and not get depressed about failing. All of life is one big chance to keep trying and times like this can be a wake up call to take care of the basics, find your joy and fix what doesn’t work. At least it has been for me. I hope this works out for you and you find what you need and what makes you smile.
